Episode 1 – Manlihood Mancast – ManCrushMonday – Bill Cody
Episode 1: Buffalo Bill Cody
This weeks #mancrushmonday is Buffalo Bill Cody.
This great man was known as a scout, a frontiersman, and a showman. He told stories of the wild American West to audiences all over America and Europe.
He grew up the son of a poor farmer, and at age 14 went out further west to become a gold miner. Over the years, he served in the military, worked as a stagecoach driver, a rider for the pony express, a bullwhacker, and his adventures caught the eye of dime store novelists and newspaper serial writers.
He got his nickname during the civil war – when he was contracted to provide the Union Army with bison meat. They say he killed 4,282 buffalo in eighteen months.
Courage, Valor, and Ingenuity. That’s why Bill Cody is this week’s #mancrushmonday
