How To Be More Manly For A Woman
We often think we know what a woman wants in a man… but we’re often frustrated with the response we get from women when we try to present that.
So I put it out there. I ASKED THEM.
What is it that they WANT from a man?
We surveyed some women about qualities they found the most masculine in the men that related to them, and this is what they said
- Humor
- Feeling and communicating emotion
- Honest open communication
- Ownership
- Paying attention to her needs
- Humility
- Affirming her value
- Compassion
- Intelligence
- Respect
- Cheering on others without being threatened
- Anticipating the needs of others
- A good work ethic
- How he talks to strangers and treats others
- To be mentally present
- Not afraid to serve – to help in the kitchen or change a diaper
- Honesty
- Integrity
- Self-Control
- Confidence
- The ability to apologize
- A man who loves God

As men, we often think of strength, and courage, and honor – which are certainly qualities that go with manhood – but when we think about how our manhood relates to the fairer sex – there are things they notice that they see as manly that we may not!
In that list, several things were answered multiple times
Communication
Kindness
Honesty
Humility
The idea of Masculine and Feminine Energies is a misnomer
I believe that men and women share many qualities. Women can nurture, and men can nurture. But women do it in a feminine way, and men do it in a masculine way. Men are strong, and women are strong – but we are strong in ways that are unique to who we are. A strong woman is not masculine, she’s feminine. A gentle man is not femnine, he’s masculine. We need to stop ascribing energies to genders.
